The Ritual Fighter

A monochrome piece I've been working at on and off for a few months, finally got around to finishing, or at least bringing it to a satisfactory stage. Not based on anything in particular, just something that emerged through sketching, starting with the mask, and extrapolating out to the idea of these savagely arrayed fighters engaging in blind duels, guided only by the sound of the others bells, watched by a silent audience, spilling blood for some nameless god. (I've been reading a lot of classic sword and sorcery lately).
